It was missing something. It's way harder to do than it looks!! I mounted a truing arbor in a drill & layed down the stripe really slow.

I had to back it with Faskolor because it is really mostly clear with the colored flake. I did a lowrider car for a local guy here. He wanted it "sparklin" for sure!

Took her out for an early mooring run. So to answer your question, she runs really well. Much much more downforce in the rear then I expected. This body was an experiment as I like to run my cars at high speeds and wanted something that could handle a 1/8 motor on 6s, and the j71 did not disappoint. I will be ordering another shell today

Default McAllister Cougar VTA

Finally got around to mounting, painting and getting a *New McAllister Cougar VTA body together with the decal stickers from Joe's Stickers and Graphics (ME) ...just need to cut the wheel openings and she'll be ready to hit the ground running.

Man, the more I look at the great examples of VTA here, the more inspired I get! The Camaros above and the Cougar harken back to the heydays of these classic cars. I really like the simple realistic look of these examples.

Joe, going to go check out your link for decals...

I'm going to paint my 68 Camaro to replicate my dad's friends, 68 302 C.I. Z/28 that I so loved as a young tad

Mike Jennings has such an awesome collection of VTA stuff. Mike has been w/ the SCCA since the heyday of the real TRANS AM Series - I believe he was a flagman, and I believe he did more of that this year. The VTA class is very dear to him, and he's an awesome person.

Cool deal Kevin - can't wait to see a few of these cougars all finished and running...

a reminder - I do grill and tail light decals for ALL 4 of the McAllister VTA bodies.

The Mustang - Firebird - as well as the new Cougar and Camaros, along with some contingency decals, numbers and other custom stuff...

Rolled a *New McAllister VTA Camaro out of the "rattle can" Paint Shop --

I'm still trying to find a rear panel filler decal I'm happy with (the plain round tail lights look too naked)
