I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

Seriously though, I appreciate all the people who post photos of their cars in this thread. I have found some inspiration in all of the paint schemes.

Hi guys, here's another 'Cuda I've done for VTA. As per my usual it is drag car inspired, this one not on any particular team though.

BTW, now that the HPI 'Cuda is discontinued, anyone know what replaces it?

And why did HPI discontinue it?

Just ordered me a HPI 1968 chevrolet camaro body set along with some 5-spoke wheels and some D-compound tires.
Looking forward to give the body and wheels a nice looking paintjob.
Once it's finished i will post some pictures.

My inspiration for my new McAllister '70 1/2 Camaro: Bobby Allison's NASCAR Modified Camaro in 1975 on the Daytona road course.

I have one. It feels light. Have not painted it up yet, so have not run it.

Here are a few of my VTA bodys over the years. Not sure if I ever shared them in this thread before.

This one has always been my favorite, lots of miles on it.

After the orange one got thrashed from racing I decided to replicate it in a blue theme, not as cool as the orange/gold but it still turned out good.

Enjoy.

Very nice Mustangs. Im coming back to them after a stint with the J-71. Never really liked the 2 poece nose. I feel like I can get the Mustang lower without the wheels rubbing too. Not to mention the Boss is just bad ass looking. Wish the HPI 69 didnt have that cutout in the hood like it does. Oh well.

How did you get the blue ring on those wheels to look so clean. It add a very nice touch.

I was thinking about a paintsheme as the one with blue, but the black would be blue.
Nice to see a version of what i was thinking about

If it's anything like the McA Firebird, is should be light. The McA Firebird is 40 grams lighter than the HPI 68 Camaro.
