Ditto on the sponsor decals. Looks much cleaner without them.

Greenbandit, thanks for posting the updated pics. The added details really make that look like a race car. I'm sure that car will stand out on the track. Not sure if you posted it earlier, but what color is the green or blue (grabber green)?

You should send McAlister pics of that body so they can post it on their racer's rides part of their website (http://www.mcallisterracing.com/index_files/Page350.htm).

Thanks Indy. The green is very close to Grabber green. It is Createx Aqua. I will send some pics to McAllister.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what color(s) would be needed to get something close to a Coke can red? Faskolor is what I have easiest access to.

I'm going with a simple one color scheme for the Southern Nationals this year. But, I like to see what I can create with rattle cans only. Considering that color doesn't exist in any one can, I think I did a decent job.

Agreed - looks good! Now that I've seen this, I'll be sure to find you at the race and say "hello"

Tamiya translucent yellow (three coats) backed by a coat of Pactra Lime Ice (I bought up my LHS entire supply before they were gone) backed by a coat of white.

I love trying different combinations of paint behind the translucent colors.

Plus I dyed the wheels with Rit bright yellow/apple green combo. Looks better out of the direct sun.

Who needs an airbrush...

That's awesome. I might have to try something similar with the translucent Tamiya paints. Thanks for sharing.

Tomorrow I'm doing a TC body with only 1 or 2 coats of translucent yellow backed by Tamiya pearl white backed by white. I'm going for a metallic yellow flake look.
