Yeah I really don't count on the formula being any different from the Pactra. I like the bigger can. A few more colors would work.

Taken at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend during the inaugural Grand Prix. They had some gorgeous cars out there.

I take it the Charger never ran VTA?

TF4 Bumble Bee painted from the inside and sand blasted at low pressure on outside to get flat look.

Looks stealthy! I like it. What media did you use to blast? Normal sand, corn meal?

A KISS Kamaro!

Like the band KISS, people will either like this airbrushing job, or not like it. Its not VTA legal right now, that's for sure. (It isn't a period correct scheme and it needs numbers regardless to run.)

Paint is Faskolor and the graphics were hand cut with liquid mask. I'm happy with how it turned out and I think putting ol' Gene on the hood of a 68 Camaro looks good. The front has chrome sparkles, but they don't show too well in the photo. I tried to use the colors from the KISS Destroyer Album.

Awesome, I love it! That's the first album I thought of when I saw the body!

Great... Now I've got Detroit Rock City rambling through my head.

I used a plastic media at a very low pressure. The first couple times I tried, I melted through the body. I startwith low pressure and work it higher until I get the desiered look.

Resurrecting my TC6.1 for VTA duties,

I am sure it has been done before but I really like the change colour purple/green paint, not exactly retro though.

Beth.

It's a very smooth way to get the flat look. I like that you retain the durability of having the paint all on the inside. I wonder if you could flatten decals or if the blasting would blow them right off the shell. You kept the windows nice and clear. I would like to see this done over a bright candy with a large metal flake base coat.

just went to the LHS to find out what they had VTA wise... slowly massaging this used TC3 back to life. picked up a HPI '70 Boss body, black 8 spokes and tires F/R.

now to cruise all these pages for inspiration!
