I have never even seen one of those up close but I hear that a lot. That they are great cars.

Nice job on replicating that red, white, and blue Mustang. Just looked at the website in the photo (http://www.ponysite.de) and there are some good photos of other cars.

Dodgeboy, what chassis is that mustang on and what the front and rear wheel width?

Reason I'm asking is I've never liked that 69 Mustang body when I seen it because it also looked strange to me.

Seeing yours I figured it out, the wheels where always to far in the body and made it look bulky, unreal. Yours looks great.

Here is a '70 "Cuda-lin". Red didn't come out exactly like I wanted but it was all I had on hand.
Front: Pactra RC264 Metallic Red backed with Pactra RC262 Indy Silver
Middle: Pactra RC251 Sprint White
Back: Model Master #28127 Big Bad Blue (AMC P2)

looks good, but I think you got the colors backwards

Blue is in the front and rear is in the rear

I added a photo above of the #3 1968 Javelin that I was trying to replicate. Hope that eliminates some of the confusion.

As best I can tell in '68 and '69 AMC raced at least one car with the red, white & blue scheme. In '70 when Penske joined the AMC team, they switched to a darker blue, white & red scheme. There is some good AMC info on this website - http://www.amx-perience.com/

I also found some interesting information here about the paint schemes as I was wondering why there was a difference - http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/..._feature3.html

It is the hpi pro 4 with the vintage tires on it 26 in the front 31 in the rear . the rear wheels are set back towards the rear a bit that is the only thing I dont like about it the bodies wheel base is to short

I'm fighting that battle right now! My Chassis is 10 1/4" wheelbase, the body for the HPI 68 Camaro is exactly 10". I've got new rear control arms on order and am warming up the dremel just in case.
