Tommy R, Very realistic! Love every detail of it. It'll look absolutely sweet out on the track, would love to see some action pictures with that bad boy in a high speed sweeper seeing the body roll would make it look even better.

Thanks, Mike! I hope to run it within the next few weeks and will try to grab some pics of it loaded up in the corners.

I believe it was a Pactra color, but don't recall which one off hand and I'm not sure if I still have the can. I'll check when I get home...

If the Penkse Camaro above was painted using Pactra R/C Lacquer from a rattle can, I would guess that it was Brilliant Blue or RC286. It looks like the body was backed with black, which will give the blue a darker tint.

Here is a list/paint chart for the Pactra rattle can paints (http://www.testors.com/category/573686/Spray_Paints)

It received about 3-4 coats of blue, backed by white, then finally backed by black.

Wow, nice work. I am in Oxnard and have been debating rebuilding my TC3 and going USVTA. Of course, all of my gear is from the early 2000s, so I only have brushed motors, AM radios, and nimh batteries.

Decisions, decisions. USVTA, Mini, or rebuild my old gold-pan RC10 for off-road...

On the main USVTA page, there was a recent link to a video showing Touring Car Masters racing in Australia. If you do a web search on your favorite search engine, you can find some good photos. While many of the usual VTA cars are painted like you would see in the Trans Am Series, there are several cars with different schemes. Here are a few photos to help inspire everyone. I'll start with a couple of Javelins.

If you use any of these Aussie paint schemes, you should also mount your driver figure on the right-hand side

Tommy R - Do you paint white wheels for the yellow on the Penske/Donahue car? What's your process? Thanks....

I considered paint, but didn't want to constantly touch them up as they got scratched in races so I dyed them instead. Basically, I just simmered the wheels in Rit yellow dye and water for about 5 minutes each. This is pretty much the procedure I followed and it worked like a charm. Good luck!
