The HPI 67 Corvette body fits a TC3 chassis perfectly with an RPM front bumper too...bonus! And, this one is thicker than most bodies I've worked with. Don't know if that's a fluke or its normally a nitro body? Either way, the nose lose like it will deflect and bounce off things better than some. Some bodies, like the 66 Mustang seem to actually catch on obstacles.

Well THAT did it !! I was already running the illegal Pantera body and now Indy lures me into another illegal choice. For Shame !! For shame !!
Kidding of course as our club allows both bodies for VTA.
But it does look so good that I just ordered it and some new wheels/tires.
If anybody asks.....Indy made me do it and I was never here !!

I've been leading people astray for many years. I'm good at it!

So, how about these bodies. Are they VTA legal?

I think those have to run in the U.G.L.Y. class, any motor, any ESC. Drivers have to wear paper bags, no holes, over their heads while racing

BTW: Love your Vett

Scottrik are you using a 3 degree rear toe plate on that TC3? My old Yokomo is a bit shorter in the wheelbase with that toe plate.

Looper is that the new HPI shell? I didnt realize it had vents in the side.

Honestly i dont know who made this, the cut off is in the rear so that suggests hpi. we are trying to get a class going here and a guy bought this body and a set of wheels for it, it was pre painted with some kind of rattle can something going on it. i recieved it as is except all the stickers, thats my contribution to it. (btw it now has the 4 numbers in white circles now) whoever made it is is surprisingly thin, too thin in my opinion. but hey i come from offroad, what do i know.

+1 on the bigfish, I remember a post on our local board from the guy you got it from mentioning it. Looped, when's that chassis showing up? Can meet you one night somewhere halfway with that esc. Work in Mesquite.

Thanks, i'll give that a shot next time Nice paint btw!

Thanks for the tip. I used the tip of an xacto to scrape away lightly where the black stripe was, but it bled the other way too, I guess when I pulled up the tape it lifted the edge of the orange in a few places, I must have been too early between colors. Of course I never notice until the next color goes on grrr. At least it still looks good, to me at least. here are a few completed pictures

AWESOME work!! Now you have to do the team car with the red checking

Tony DeLorenzo's Mustangs, purchased the year old cars from Bud Moore and abandoned his Chevrolet patronage (through his dad who was a GM exec) that extended back through his late '60's domination of SCCA A-Production racing in the Owens Corning Corvette roadsters. Going Ford was considered a poke in the eye by many, but after a disappointing 1970 season in Camaros (again Owens Corning sponsored) Tony wanted a shot at winning and the Moore-stangs were the likely ticket to that.

What I don't recall are the numbers...are those from '72? In '71 they ran #3 and 4 (for co-driver Thompson).

MAN I wish I could paint HALF as nicely as yours!!
