Would you mind posting a few Javlin pics? Something other than the red/white/blue one that we are all so familiar with?

BTW, You do great work!

Thanks

Great looking car! Somehow, the cop car parked behind it seems appropriate.

Where can you get the VTA decals to put on the bodies or larger ones for a tool box etc....?
I have seen a few on peoples car here in this section.

I've got two HPI Sports coming from Tower for me and my boy and I want to turn mine into a VTA racer, this decal is fitting for them IMO.

The Jocko's car is my future Javelin project. I contacted a historical society from the original area the driver is from and they're sending me some more photos so I can have some decals made.

What make and color is this?

I've got a HPI Cuda coming and I may do a similar paint scheme.

It's Parma Faskolor #40012 Faskyblue with a bit of white in it to lighten it up. Back it heavily (read: many coats, not one heavy coat) with white before spraying the orange and black piping, or it will bleed through darker colors. The orange is a 1:1 mix of Parma #40103 Fasfluorescent Orange and #40007 Fasorange, backed with white.

Might have to resurrect my Gulf colors for the Nats again this year.

I like backing with silver instead of white, I think it protects bleed thru a bit better.

But it does make the topcoat darker. Enough coats of white, and you won't see bleed with black or even red.

Hit me on AIM when you have a chance—I have weened myself off of FB and pruned my friends list from just under 400 to about 35 just family and close friends. I don't check in there more than once every couple of days.
