Great looking bodies guys. I'll be working on a couple over the next couple of weeks. Will post pics when finished. You are a tough act to follow though!

Saw this link posted in the USVTA main thread - HPI Sprint 2 with the 1969 Camaro Body (http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/708/).

Here is a photo of the body from the HPI webpage:

Finally, a new body! I hope they are in going to sell the body separately.
I went to the website and clicked on "parts" for the car and they showed 2 standard touring car bodies, a Subaru and their own design touring body, but no 1969 Camaro. Hmmmm

Hey Guys,

Just finished a GT 500 for a change of shells. A little variation of my red white blue theme. The last pic is my 70SS shell.

Paul.

Hi Darkside,

.I love how you used the blue stripes...they look painted with the rest of the car...good mix...
Funny thing about that is I was ready to start my normal paint work and noticed the blue stripes, I thought, why not. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

but you will have a issue with the Stang...it will never make it around the track without a driver...lol
LMAO!!! You noticed that huh? I need to come up with a better way of mounting the driver. The mount in the Camaro cracked from vibration which really surprised me. The driver bailed during a heat and was run down and killed by another VTA car.

He'll be back......

Paul.

Here is a Pegasus 70 Mach Jet "Mustang"

Paint - Pactra Rattle Cans:
RC250 Outlaw Black
RC251 Sprint White
RC254 Racing Red
RC262 Indy Silver
(bumpers/grill trim)

Here is my personalized version of the Vic Edelbrock #16 Mustang paint scheme (http://www.historictransam.com/Drive...ockMustang.htm). Numbers, circles, and sponsors are decals. I also used a small strip of white pin stripe around the outside of the headlights. Everything else is painted.

All details so far are paint. Will post a fully detailed picture later after I apply some decals and decide if I'm going to mount this on a TC3 or TC4.
Like the paint job.... FYI...Carl Seils makes a complete sticker sheet for that paint job if you dont have one already.....Nice work!!!

Well, the choices for "legal" VTA bodies IS kinda limited. I'm sure if VTA popularity holds, HPI and others may come out with more options. I wouldn't mind seeing bodies like the 1969 Firebird, 1970-73 Trans Am, AMC Javelin, Dodge Charger, Mercury Cougar, and other Trans Am series staples as options.

If there's sufficient demand, I'm sure the body companies (and then USVTA) will give us more options. Until then, we're gonna see the same bodies over and over again.

The HPI Camaros DO look awesome tho!!
