Nicely captured with the current range of decals used.

So I was looking at this Javelin body, are the screws holding the front end cap on part of the kit? It seems most versions of this body has the front cap screwed on... I have the Protoform 70 Firebird T/A, does that required screwing on as well? I didn't think I seen the screws in the kit.

Very nice! I really dig these early Camaros!
Thank you very much and ya the J71 body comes with 2 front nose's and the screws also come with the kit. The nose has to be cut out and bolted on , very easy tho.

Is the rear wing on this mustang legal?

It is my opinion that under USVTA rules that it would NOT be legal. If it was the HPI body 69 body that doesn't have a molded-in wing but comes with a stock-appearing add-on wing, that wing would be legal. Since the McAllister body has a wing on it already, adding another one is outside the rules. Just my $0.02 worth.

Not my most satisfying paint job but my first crack at the J71.

Next to my M3:

just go to the trans am site with the rules and show him them... molded wings have NEVER been allowed in this class. the closest you get to a 'wing' in the lexan wing-like thing that comes with the '70 Boss Mustang from HPI - if it ain't, a HPI, then wing ain't allowed

Looks good Evo, but I have to say, the M stripes on an AMC is sort of sacrilegious Move them to that M3 beside it, and we're good

vivo,

is this at a USVTA track in Calif, or a Outlaw VTA track? There has been a few small wings used at some of the Outlaw VTA races I've been to..we are also allowed to run a bit larger lexan spoiler if/when needed (since we're running 21.5's vs 25.5's) --

Joe,

I received the decals. Haven't painted a body yet, but they look GOOD. Looking forward to the chance to paint a body and put them to use.

Default Flash Back..

I know this isn’t a correct “VTA themed” paint job but it has always been my favorite paint scheme.
