Yeah I think that's one of the names they called it. My 71 f100 handed down to me by my gpa is that "light green" in truck speak.

Got a body painted today- wanted a mustang but they were out at the lhs. At least I know that this green is VERY green. I kinda like it though. Paint/ trim job is ar from perfect but fine considering what it'll look like once I've driven it!!! Have to get some taller posts tomorrow...

Default Cuda VTA body

Just about ready to race. I still need to add a driver figure; what do you guys do, mount it to the body or chassis? Also need to find some number decals as there were none on the decal sheet.

The body is sitting on a Serpent S411. I'm already running a S411 in TC so I went with what I know.

Looking for some suggestions on scale paint of a Protoform Javelin body...Don't want to do the normal Donahue or Red/White/Blue scheme.

Any suggestions for something different?

Seth, I'm partial to non VTA race replica paint schemes. Even though that car is hideous looking, I must say that black one looks stellar. A police car scheme would be pretty sweet too! http://my.opera.com/GMarz/albums/sho...icture=8963307

The only other scheme the Javelins ran in 1971 was the Yellow and Black Roy Woods Racing scheme. They were painted Red White and Blue for the 72 season running under American Motors Dealers sponsorship.

In 1972 Bill Collins ran the "Fighting Saints" #63 car. It later became Jockos Javelin running the same number.

Of course if you want to get silly and still be scale, you will have to get a Blue Gumball machine oscillating light and some Alabama State Trooper Decals made.

I saw this a while ago on Barrett Jackson. They sold it for charity I think? Its a special 69 Camaro "Intimidator" that was custom done for the Earnhardt family by Richard Childress Racing (RCR). I know its not a vintage scheme, but GAWD is it ever cool! Eye candy...

Hey Chris! I think it is really sharp. Just the layout is nice without the "3" and all. Maybe we'll see one in Nashville next September at the USVTA Southern Nats!

I do like it alot. Seems to flow really well on the body. I would never be able to see it on the track though lol. My bodies have to be bright so usually mostly white, or I lose it on the track....not as if it would change my driving lol

Here's an "oldy-but-goodie" paint scheme for a Javelin body...

Another great idea for a Javelin...
