Default New VTA build

what do you guys think? Chassis is a new build TC5R, novak Edge ESC and 21.5 motor.

Should I add any more decals to it or leave it clean? (I personally like the clean look myself).

If I could find some of the actual Sunoco Camaro decals I'd be happy, anyone know where I could find them?

Simple and clean (as a VTA should be). Nice work. I just finished spraying my new Challenger. I'll post a pic once I get it decal'd and mounted.

cshelton,

Check out - http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...am-decals.html

Take a look on page 4. I can print just the copy, if that's what you need.

And this is my 68 Camaro.

In both bodies I used the Proline short course interior that also has built roll cages attached to them(Plasti-struct 1/4" tubing). Went to local dealerships and got stickers they use on the back of their new cars bumper/trunk and used those for "sponsor" quarter panel decals. The driver's visors were left clear so I can put some micro dvr video recorders in them for first person view of the racing. Hopefully I can get them to fit properly...

I'm going to paint everything like this for at least the next year. I may even shoot one in flat gray.

I used plain old Rustolium, and Rustolium tail light paint for the window tint. This is the before picture, but after a three day race it looks exactly the same. In fact, looks were the only saving grace because my truck was pig slow all weekend.

Thanks again.
That looks sick! You're Darth Vader comment is appreciated

I assume that's the Protoform Oval Truck? It's a shame that body won't fit regular TC's. Awesome body.

Great work on those bodies, I thought of doing that myself but our loal Chevrolet dealer's decals are too big for quarter panels. I thought someone would come out with some new bodies around the first of the year. I would really like to see Protoform or HPI come out with a 70' Camaro split bumper or a 68'/69' Firebird. I'm working on a Pegasus 70' Camaro now so I can get started in VTA, but the body is not a real good fit.

I love it. It looks perfect. I am afraid the air dam usually takes a beating and suffers some damage in the normal course of racing. Look through this thread and you will see where some are leaving a little clear lexan in the corner of the air dam and the front valence. There have to be fifty or more examples of that in this thread.

Default Spirit of the game

I've been out of racing for 6 or 7 years, a few months ago i decided to get back in to it. I found this thread and VTA looked fairly inexpensive and FUN, when everyone wants to keep changing the rules to allow more items, the spec is gone and so is the FUN factor, and so is the class. The same thing happened to 1/10 off road in the 90's. SC has brought 1/10 off road back, I was reading some of thr SC stock threads last night and the same thing is happening, let's have bigger motors, let's have boost, let's do away with stock because it's almost as fast as Mod anyway. If it ain't broke don't screw it up! No one mentioned it was FUN, when the FUN is gone we might as well put the cars back on the shelves, until someone decides to start a class for FUN. There won't be any new faces and all the great people you met racing will slowly disappear. Time to get off the soap box. Thanks for listening
