Flat black...
I don't know if this is old news or not, but while painting two 'Cudas for Barney and me I had originally planned on going back over the outside of the hood and rear spoiler with flat black - after I had painted them both black, (Pactra for lexan "Outlaw Black"), from the inside.
On a whim, I masked the hood off and blocked the entire hood with a green Scotchbrite pad -- it worked GREAT. The hood, (and spoiler), has/have the same dull matte finish as the real car.
Soapy water solution, (used when applying the decals), took out all of the fine scratches from the Scotchbrite. Just wiping the solution off of the body with a paper towel did this.
Again, I don't know if this is an old tip or not, but it worked really well.
I'll try to get photos of the cars up.

LMAO! I just watched that on the camera I had set up on the final corner. You ran him down like he was tied to a stump in the chicane. Then, HACK! Sent him off line in the last hairpin. He almost got back by you coming to the line. I hope I got the finish on the other camera. I was laughing so hard...
