It was pointed out on another VTA thread that McALLISTER RACING now has a couple of "Bomber" bodies that look like they could work for VTA. These bodies aren't on the approved USVTA list at this time.
There are 2 bodies - a '70 Mustang and a '70 Cuda. The bodies are listed as about 9" wide, so that should made them between 225-230mm wide. Anyone have a measurement of the width of the Parma VTA bodies or the Pegasus VTA bodies?
Here is a link on McAllister's website for the bodies (http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/page12.html)
Here are 2 photos from McAllister's website:

The McAllister bodies are pretty wide, I think the Pegasus Cuda is about 218mm, and it is monstrous compared to the other bodies. The rules we made for ROAR are 220mm max body width, and that was specifically to accommodate the Pegasus bodies, since they were accepted already by the USVTA.

Man, those Mcallister bodies are hideous. I can't imagine how horrible they'd look with the limited offset wheels available for VTA. The 210 mm on the rear of the Cuda and Camaro make the wheels look sunken enough! (The Mustang is a little narrower and works better with the wheels available).

OK 1. That looks great. I think Im going to have to ride up there and try it out. 2. Is that a Charger in the middle pic? You really need to get me some more pictures of that. I bet its the shell for the Savage isnt it? Its hard to make those look right on a TC but that one looks pretty good.

The McAllister 'Cuda and Mustang bodies are re-releases. Gary had these available a long time ago, we use to run them in a HOBBYSTOCK Class with the old 235mm (WIDE) Pan Cars on the Oval and Road Courses some 15+ years ago.
They do not make a great VTA body because they are very wide - they do however make a great "Hobby" or "Street" Stock type body for Dirt Oval Racing.
I believe they are pulled in .040 Lexan, and they are SO durable
