I am looking to do my next vta body completely flat black. I have read about scuffing/sanding. I wamm wondering what grit to use. I did a sample with 150 GRIT and it still seemed shiny after 3 coats.
Buy sandable auto body primer from the auto parts store. Paint on the outside. You can use black on the inside as well to ensure it is a uniform black if there are scratches. This was how the first murdered out camaro was created several years ago.

I spent today working on a new body. Since the '70 AAR Cuda is back on the shelves, I picked one up and decided to do a tribute to Dan Gurney and Swede Savage. This pic is still incomplete, need to finish the rear spoiler and add the white 8 spoke wheels and Goodyear tires.
My son and I attended the U.S. Nationals Drag Race today at Lucas Oil Raceway. Great day for drag racing, but we also saw some eye candy that I thought you guys would enjoy...good scheme ideas! The Hot Wheels Camaro is a beauty. Wow. That paint is so deep its unbelievable.
