As the famous Pablo Neruda once said "Oh so close and yet so far." HPI was very close by making a Pontiac Firebird TA, but when they made the '78 Firebird body, they missed the U.S. Vintage Trans Am era by about 6 years. As I have said a couple times before in this thread...

8.5!! Now that's fast. Are your sure Chad Knaus hadn't been working some of his "gray area magic" on the car! LMAO!! I can't make it next race but will be there all day Sat for practice to keep trying to dial this thing into the rug! I'd be interested to know if you swapped the body back just how the car would "feel" in comparision.

Protoform in my opinion always best choice... he is a rc car body genious... and i think im gonna stick with it...

I did this one with Faskolor. Everything is paint at this point. The guy I did it for may add some decals, but that's his call. Headlights will be clear, but I don't believe he's putting in a lighting system.

Absolutely beautiful. Makes me wish I never sold my 79. 455ci 650hp 373 posi........ahhhhh I miss that car.

I know these aren't anywhere near vta cars but I love the vta class and I know there are a lot of vintage race fans here so I thought I would share. Hope you guys don't mind. (If you do let me know and I will delete the post) These are my and my sons new usgt Ford gt bodies. They were painted as a tribute to the 1966 season #4 and #5 gt 40s. Our next points series will be run in a low light dusk setting so these are wired with led head lights and tail lights. My sons is #4 and mine is #5.
