Keep your eyes open for the article that Tony is writing about VTA for RC Driver Magazine.

I also wish Tony the best of luck in getting a VTA Race Club started at his local track in Southern California.

Default HPI 1968 Camaro

New body I airbrushed for one of our best local racers. His colors are the same on all classes, so we tried to incorporate them into his VTA Camaro. Decals yet to come along with the body trimming, but he wanted to do that portion himself. Good colors to see on the track! Neon pink, metallic purple, white Faskolor.

I hate those #!!#@ dimples on the top of all the HPI Camaro bodies. Can't that be fixed on the mold master? (Photo #3) Sheesh! I KNOW those dimples aren't there to locate the body posts!

Those are all over the HPI 'Cuda bodies too, I also hate them...because my chassis bears no relation to the HPI chassis and my mounting posts are nowhere near the areas HPI indicates they are.

Great paint-job, btw!

I was just thinking the same thing. I saw on the other thread that ROAR doesnt follow the other rules for USVTA so I guess the battery was the same.

It just seems like they are just trying to make a ton of money off of the manufacturers so their products can be "ROAR" approved. Then they just turn around and pass that on to us and make our hobby more expensive. I believe there do need to be rules in order to keep the spec type classes fair, but for most of the other classes it's run what ya brung. That's where I don't think ROAR needs to be involved.

I seem to recall 96 racers,(Maybe it was 96 entries) at the Music City Southern VTA Nationals at Thunder RC. Were there any TC classes? Because I was thinking that it was all VTA and USGT. Concourse was awesome at that event. The pics from it remind me of the big VTA races in Doug Carters pics. That was a great race. The winner from the Southern Nats went on to dominate VTA at the Snowbirds. GO DAVE.

Come to Nashville Tony. We will show you a nice VTA race.

i have a Vta question since i cant view the VTA thread because of its on-going isues.

we have just started running VTA recently in Australia and it is starting to get a bit more popular.

what is the wear rate of the tyres, after about 4 shows (2 heats and a main, each show) i have just about worn the fronts down to bald.

is this normal and how long do they perform whilst bald?
