Default FOAM TO RUBBER

Hi,
What are the typical changes needed when changing from foam to rubber tyres ? I'm running indoors on carpet.
Thanks for your help,

Everthing changes, roll centers, camber links, shock springs and oils, everything. I don't know of an "easy" answer, rubber tire is a different beast all together.

Yep, spool or one-way, complete suspension overhaul, and in some cases a different chassis/topdeck. Totally different in every way.

basically, a foam car is ran rather stiff due to the high amount of traction, as paul lemieux once said, running foams is about 10x the amount of traction compared to foams

for rubber tire, its a rather soft(suspension) car. ride height doesnt change and is more easily maintained then a foam car (seeing is how ride hieght can change after every run and droop settings change as well) but as a previous post said, everything can change when setting up a rubber tire car.

the best advise i can give is find a set up sheet for your car and try it out

rubber tire is always* looking for more traction while foam frequently looks to get rid of traction.

A more flexable chassis, softer springs, front 1-way, etc... all changes to increase traction/steering.

I've heard most rubber tire drivers commenting on how rubber tire really rewards the driver who sticks to the line and keeps up corner speed. So, it tends to be a different drive to the extent that you REALLY have to watch how you enter/exit corners.

*never drove rubber tire, its all second hand info
