Default My car refuses to drive strait.

it's been tolerable for a while when i ran my 27t but now i have my 13.5 in my car and the punch is huge. the car turns to the left and hits the wall and i cant control it at all. it does it at all speeds and i have to fight it. ive played with the trims for how long and the servo seems to be fine. i have the jr z590 torque servo and i plan to get a better tc servo soon. i need your input on this because i just cant think of the problem. all help is highly appreciated.

1 in 20 laps it might get better but then right back to its old left pull.

Check the servo saver post and make sure there is no slop. Check and see if the car is tweaked. Make sure droop is even from side to side. I'm by no means an expert... but I have had the same problem many times and was able to fix it by checking these things.

could be a bearing locked up on the left side.

if your running a One-way in the front, its possible that one of the roller bearing inside the one-way is slipping and causing the car to pull one direction

I would Re-bind the Fasst system again to make sure that isnt it.

check the servo horn, it could have a stripped gear also.

now this might be my problem, i talked to the shop owner and he said that there shouldn't be a problem but there is a little bit of a space between the two parts of the servo saver. if you move the wheels both directions it pops both ways. when i turn it on and move the servo it just stays there. when id hit the wall it might pop side to side. i do have another saver, should i try that now one?

if its moving around a lot, then that is most likely your problem. depending on the car, there should be a nut underneath the spring. if you thread it up, it should solve the problem. If you cant adjust it, then just use your replacement.

Had same problem on my TC3 this last weekend, the servo saver screw came loose and servo horn wouldn't track with the servo. All the parts were still there, just adjusted it using the tweak hole from the bottom side of the chassis.

i put the new one in and it seems to still have a little movement but i will have to wait until the next time i go to find out if that worked.

It should move a little to protect the servo, but you shouldn't be able to turn the wheels without the servo moving, or there being a clicking sound.

Right, but changing it out once in awhile is a good precaution to take. And in the meantime, I'd suggest going ahead & checking for chassis tweak, just go over the chassis plates(loosen & retighten the screws on a flat surface), & also check to make sure your droop is even from side to side & that your shock lengths are equal, since you have time, go ahead & dot some i's & cross some t's.....

in short, it could be one of many things.

1) steering not set straight
2) servo not getting central after turning
3) left/right weight balance not equal
4) droop not equal
5) foam tyre diameter not equal
6) sometimes even shock preload may make the car struggle.
7) bent steering rod/turnbuckle
8) worn steering parts

hth

You never said what kind of car you have. Shaft drive cars will pull to the side if the rear diff is too tight. Also make sure that you are using the proper servo horn or servo saver if it's attached at the servo. One tooth too big and it will go on smooth but will not seat properly and cause your servo not to center.

I don't think you live close enough to the Bering Strait or the Strait of Gibraltar for your car to drive "Strait"...

As others have said, check Ball Cups, worn Ball Studs, worn servo or servo saver, worn or wobbly suspension arms or pins, etc...
