Default Tamiya 1/14th scale Trucks

Hey all,

What is the cheapest place to buy one of the Tamiya 1/14th scale Semi-Trucks?

I am interested in getting either the Ford Aeromax, the Globe Liner, the King Hauler, or the Knight Hauler. My preference is for the Knight Hauler or the Globe Liner.

So far, I have found a place called www.buy-model.com that has them listed for $295, $325 with shipping, and www.hobbypeople.net has them for $359 + shipping, but they say they will match anyone else's advertised price.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks!

The second link you gave me [rcmodel.com.hk] has the Globe Liner for $260 USD!!!! That is $210 cheaper than my LHS, and $150 cheaper than Tower Hobbies! LOL

Hey all, I got my Globe Liner!!!

I went to Hobby Hanger in Chantilly, VA... they wanted $350 for it

I checked the Hong Kong shops, and they wanted almost $100 to ship it, and I paid $360 with tax, which is $110 less than my LHS, and only about $10 more than the Hong Kong shops.

So far I've gotten her about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way done. I need to paint the body, install the electronics, set the settings, and let her rip!

Hey, can anyone tell me what kind of speed control I should be using in my truck? I want something that isn't going to burn up and damage the truck... any ideas?

Thanks!
