Cheers
I can find no reference to the A1 part in my instructions. Do you have a picture by chance?

Qatmix, The tires/rims I have just assembled recently, you drop the thrust bearing in the rim first (the rim has a molded spot to hold everything). Then followed by 2 spring washers (facing opposite of each other) then the large silver, aluminum stepped piece which the axle nut is tightentd against. Some of these rims have a seperate piece that snaps over this whole assembly to prevent these items from falling out. Which piece are your referring to as A1?

Ahh, its part no1 from the A-tree. Looking at the instructions it does come from the wheels. I dont ahve wheels at teh moment so I hope the Zen ones I have just bought will have the fitting..

I'm really looking forward to getting an F1 car running again..

The new one piece thrust bearing makes life simple. Slide the rim on and then load the bearing and washers. The outter part of the kit wheel is held in place by 2 small screws. All the outter rim really does is cosmetically cover the thrust bearing assembly anyway. I have Cross wheels that are put on that way. It would be nice if Tamiya made an assembly to remove the wheel and tire and leave the thrust bearing alone.

What is the best way to color the wings, paint or vinyl and if paint what kind should I use? Do the painted front wings chip easily?

Plastic model paint should works..... chipping ..Hmmmm Get off the broad or pipe Just don't hit any things

Most important before paint is to prep good before paint...maybe light sanding first then primer ....

Ps Don't paint too thick ,is will chip very easily

Hey Mark You might want to try the exterior Auto body paint..

I'm about to buy a F103RM too, but can somebody explain me the difference between the F103 RM with M-body and the F103RM with T-body? What's the difference between these bodies/kits.

And does someone knows an online shop which is willing to ship to Europe and has the F103RM in stock??

Thanx in advance!!

Just the body set, the M-body is a mid 90s high nose (McLaren) and the T body is an early 90s low nose (tyrrel)

Anyone seen pics of the new F body coming out? I have heard talk only.. have not seen anything yet.

Wow.. this is getting so popular now.. And they are still the most cool looking of cars to watch going around a course.. I think because TC bodies became sooo streamlined it took the identity out of it.

F103R...WOW! Nice! I just got done adding all the blue bits, and graphite I could find for my RM. This will probably be a much cheaper route than what I did. But to go one step further, I wonder if this means a F104 is in the works for next year. I do find it interesting the F201 has been shelved before any other releases F202, F203 ect.

No pictures or listing of upgrade parts! We can only hope all the blue stuff is included. They're really keeping it under wraps until October 16 and 17, which is the huge all Japan toy and model show.

I think tamiyablog had a fuzzy black/white scan. My best guess is it will have an aluminum servo mount, aluminum motor mount and the TRF damper at the very minimum.
