Default Xray 007 rubber and Gold Trakpower 4900's

I am looking into buying the Gold Trakpower 4900 battery. But i was wondering if anyone knows if it will fit in the 007 without grinding anything away?

Thanks

A fellow racer has one in a t2 008 are they the same or similar chassis?

Without grinding anything? I don't think so.

You'll have to grind the bulkhead down on that side so it's almost straight at the top rather than having the 'lip'

Also, in the 008 as well as the 007 you'll have the shim the top deck by 1mm in order to fit the 4900's

There will be some fitment issues, but I think you'll manage just fine. It's worth the trouble and that is what counts.

mine fits with no chassis grinding

but barely

you have to remove the heatshrink off the case to allow it to fit

its not worth it

the SMC one fits like a glove
