40mph+Lightpost=pieces

I took my TL XXX-S out for its first run today with its Mamba 7700 system in it. It ran great, i secured my handheld GPS to it and ran some speed runs with it and it topped at 40mph with the gearing i had.

On my final run today, i had the car topped out and as i was about to turn the car and bring it back the battery shut down and the car hit a light post at full speed:cry:

That is intense. Better than the time I made a 6 foot high half pipe from a piece of sagged MDF and jumped it with my 18T.

I learned graphite is very brittle. Its hard to see in the pic, but the front/right arm cracked, the left/rear arm cracked and the chassis cracked.

You say time for some new parts....It looks like it's time for a new car as that one seems to be what is left of your previous one.

And what did the poor innocent lamppost look like?;)

The car isn't broken, it just lacks duct tape...:D

rcnewb2004 06-16-2008 08:30 PM

man, lamp posts are evil... the car looks like a shark bit it.... ouch...

mild seven 06-16-2008 08:33 PM

ouch that would of hit hard. yeah the xxx-s is a very brittle car, like a pencil

John Warner 06-16-2008 08:38 PM

Looks like the front bumper survived, even though the rest of the car looks like it's destroyed!

mild seven 06-16-2008 09:03 PM

Did the shock shaft break on the front? usually the bumper bends back and breaks the shock shafts on impact with those cars.

RCRIOT 06-16-2008 09:40 PM

Looks like it judging by the springs on the ground beside the car....

vabroom 06-16-2008 09:59 PM

Well, it's time to upgraded!
