Has anyone tried fitting a hub other than Associated onto the rear axle?
I have had mine come loose a couple of times despite the fact that I'm doing it up very tight.
Will another manufactures fit?
I'm preferably looking for one that has two screws fixing it.

Skiddins best bet is the CRC AMC sorted one out for me the other week is just the ticket your looking for.
O yes what I also found is you will need some of the screws that you use for the rear wheels as they have a shallow head on and fit best dont get the CRC ones, but the Associated ones work a treat.

can you use a saddle pack lipo with this car

Im not sure if anyone has been able to find a saddle pack lipo that fits it yet. I have modified mine to accept a stick pack lipo and it works well, so far.

Check out post #174 in this thread for a simple mod that allows you to fit a lipo stick pack. The metric counter bore is 90 degrees so any cheap wood counter bore drill bit can be used.

I pretty much did what you showed there, had to grind off the nub that sticks out in the middle of the aluminum block so the upright would fit flush. At first I tried just taping in in the rear but that wasnt secure enought so I ran a strip of HD Velcro under the battery and cut a slot in the center of the chassis to allow the tape to go through. Seems to work fine so far, the only issue I forsee is the clearance between the Stick pack and the chassis shock mount is very tight using any of the newer, taller stick packs. I will try the orion 3200 pack if I can find one but they are discontinued. Overall it works well so far, just wish associated would remove head from backside and realize lipo is now and Nimh is 1995.

Just wanted to share with you another possibility to run 7.4V LiPos in the 10R5. I combined in parallel two 2s1p 1800mAh 25C 7.4V LiPos for 1/18th scale cars to one 2s2p 3600mAh 25C 7.4V battery.
It fits almost perfectly in the car without any trimming!
Here my car with the Sophia GT body:
The 3600mAh provides more than enough run time with 13.5T as well as with 9.5T motors.
This configuration is saving 50gr of weight compared to 4 Cell NimH. The car is still handling very well on carpet, however has to be tested still on asphalt.

Ok folks it's that time of the month to meet up at Crystal Park Raceway. If you have debating if you should go and take your pan car out of the closet, well make it this weekend. Bring what you have, lets just have fun. If not enough pan car guys show, will be put in with a touring class so don't worry about not being able to participate. If your driving skills are not up to par, well mines are not up to par either just having fun. Remember unfortunately next month we will not have a meeting at Crystal Park as nitro racing is going on and took our spot. If you still cannot make this weekends race hit me up if you can make it any other weekend for some bashing/practice time and will meet up.

Just been reading through the swathes of posts on the Lipo / NmH debate with interest.
At the risk of sticking my head above the parapet and having it blown off, as someone coming back into the sport after 20 years and seeing how far the various technologies have moved on, I can't see the logic of not using the Lipo option, even if that means ballasting the car. They ballast in F1 and sportscars so why not in RC?
I'm not saying you should give up on the NmH option but surely this technology has a limited lifespan and Lipso's do seem to be the way of the future.
