Hi, Low Et

Thanks for the pics, have you run the car with a reciever pack and the smart boost (not at the same time lol) to do back to back tests which route did you find the best??

Cheers

Do you guys bother rounding out the chassis? Or not worry about it?

i have not done testing but i know the fast guys are running a receiver pack. in my thinking the booster is connected to the main battery for power, whether it's draininig power from the motor or not, it's still draining power from the motors battery. so i switched to the receiver pack to power everything and the main battery throws all it's power to the motor. it gives me better piece of mind knowing i have all the power i could on tap.

i used to do this to all my carbon fiber and seal the edges with ca but the last few cars i've done i haven't and i had no problems at all. you will still need to round the edges where the battery tape goes or the sharp edge will cut the tape. if you're using nimh batteries you'll have to do the battery slots also so it won't cut into the cell while in the slot.

I never thought about that. Good idea. Would applying ca glue effect chassis flex?

not sure if ca affects flex. it is intended to seal all the layers of carbon fiber together to help prevent them from delaminating.

Running 1 cell lipo 13.5. Set the car up so it is balanced side to side and the right rear is about 2 ounces heavy. Checked a couple of other cars and they are about the same. What is everyone doing about this? Would installing the 12R5.1 rear pod even things out?

Default Front Springs

What are the effects or differences of running .018 front springs or .020 front springs. What does it make the car do?

Answered my own question on the pod change. No noticable weight difference on the right rear, but a lower weight overall. Best idea, throw the scales away for this car and set it up on a tweak board. Works fine that way.

obi wun, the 18 springs will have a little more steering because it allows more weight to transfer to the outside front wheel. The 20 springs are use full when you just have too much steering, when the car is too darty, when the rear end is a little too lively wanting to step out and you can’t get a handle on it some other way + plus a few more.

Default Power draining...

hello world..another question for you...

my 10r5 is falling off something awful...the first 6 to 8 laps the car is a bullet everywhere..but soon after that it is slowing ..i mean like .4 .5 difference..i am running single cell lipo..timing is not high at all the car is super quick in and out of corners in the beginning...any advice...i have been told that the car is to hooked up and it is fast at the beginning because the tires have not come in but when they do it binds the car because of the crazy traction therefore draining power from the battery...any advice...i am listening..

I know at our track with lower traction, when the paragon is fresh I can rip off a few hot laps before the car levels out. Go out to the track with a fresh pack and freshly sauced tires. Run till you notice the large fall off you mentioned. Pull off and have a buddy resauce the tires and rescrubb in. If your lap times are back to your previous hotlaps you can eliminate the power combo (batt, esc, motor etc) as the culprit. Handling issues however will be difficult to identify without actually seeing the car. Can you post your set up?

Default power draining

my setup is as follows...
3 timing boost
max turbo..
.5 delay..
0 motor timing

-1.5 camber
82 rollout
silver center shock 25 wt
side shock 30 blue springs...

handling is not a problem...i loose power..and i did exactly what you suggested...about pulling it off and going back..it runs as if it fell off again
