There are lots of differences between those two, I don't know how you could confuse the two. The FK05 is a T1, the '007 is a T2.

For starters, the bulkheads on the '007 are much lower, lowering the top deck. The belt to the front differential runs below the top deck on an FK05, above on the T2 series. The wheels are held on by screws instead of a nut, and the wheel bearings are smaller, 5x10 compared to 10x15's. The FK05 rear bulkheads capture the spur gear and layshaft, while the '007 layshaft/spur can be removed by taking the top deck off.

If you have an FK05 sitting next to the '007, you will clearly see the differences. While the FK05 is still a capable club racing car, but you won't be winning Snowbirds with it.

all you have to do to tell the difference is drive your buddys 007. I just bought my son a used 007, we have ran the 05 for the last two years and the difference on the track is night and day. Now I`m looking for mine.

both are very capable cars one of the main differences is the fk05s build that car is insanly strong I had one for almost 1 year and went out every couple of weeks and only broke 1 cvd and a spool and that was it man that was a great car I wish I had mine back I havent driven a 007 so I cant speak for it but I am sure it is very capable as well.
