If you want your car to accelerate faster, simply go to a smaller pinion gear (less teeth). This will make the car take off faster but you will loose top speed. Try dropping to a 26 tooth pinion.

I got decent performance out of a Trinity P2k Pro with a 25 tooth pinion gear. This is the gear that came with my car, or that I picked up for it... I can't remember, it's been too long!

Do a search on Google for "r/c gearing", you'll come up with all sorts of helpers on this... gearing calculators, etc.

it all depends what motor you're using and what track size you race on. but as mo said for more acceleration, try a smaller pinion. by doing this you will lose top speed, though.

I get good results with my P2k and a 25t pinion and I race on a pretty tight track. Monster stock work well with a 21t. Reedy MVP would probably do good with a 23 or 24t. But I haven't tried my MVP yet. A P2k2 would probably do good about the same as the MVP, but my p2k2 is broken, one of the magnets in the can broke . I'm using a TC3 with the stock 72 spur.
