I've read from several of you that it is a good idea to use a spool in place of the stock diff in the front of the car when running on asphalt. How does the spool setup effect the handling characteristics of the car?
Thanks, as always,

The spool is a must. On throttle steering is better than off power steering!

Hello all. I just finished reading all 104 pages of this thread and cannot believe how excited it was to do. Of course it took days. (Maybe I am crazy and need to be checked out mentally?) I am just starting out in on road but have been racing off road for years. After contemplating for days on which car to purchase for my 1st one I finally decided for what I have planned to do with it this would be my intro car. I finally ordered my TB-03 today and now will work on the Hop Ups from the lists and remarks that I've found here. Those will come next but not all at once or I will be divorced and living in my truck. I am assuming that my best prices on parts are overseas. Its amazing to see all the help that all have given to the new guys and I am sure I will have questions one day.
Enough rambling....... until next time

Hello, will a 29 / 81, pinion / spur (64 pitch) gear combo mesh properly in this kit? Will be using the stock motor mount and have a 81 tooth spur and was wondering what range of pinions would work. Getting ready to assemble the TB-03D with upgrade pack. Thanks for any help.

My TB-03D (w/upgrade pack) is about ready to run! Next week I'll be practicing with it for the first time to get my TCS GT-1 set-up dialed in. Only hop-ups on it besides the upgrade pack include high torque servo saver and TA05 swaybars. Front universals will be on before Trackside TCS. I'm running a front one way as it fits my driving style. Any suggestions for set-up and things I should look out for? Thanks
My baseline set-up with no runs on it yet:
-80wt all around (CVA: one hole pistons) with blue springs up front and yellow in back
-Medium swaybar up front
- -2 camber all around
- 0 degree toe
-5-5.5mm ride height
-stock settings beyond that for now
