Thanks guys for the great advice I should probably take a little trip to the track here in Camarillo and see what the locals have to say.
Regarding the suspension mounts (1XD, 1F, etc...), there seems to be dozens of flavors of them. What would be a good starting set to use, and where can I get more information on their differences?
Thanks again for your time, and thanks for your patience with another Noobie!

If you are using the TRF shocks go with 400 and two hole or 600 with three hole pistons to start.
List what hop ups you have purchased and I can better help you with a set up.

Im debating if I should run GT-3 or GT-1 with my TB-03D I'm about to get for TCS. What spur/pinion do you recommend for a 13.5 (to get around a 4.5 fdr) and for a silver can in GT-3? Also, what is the internal ratio? Thanks!

Ciao Waltrip55,
the internal ratio is 2,348, which kind of spur are you using pitch 48 or 64?

I would like to run 48p...but I wouldn't mind either one. Which ever one is easier to get to 4.5 fdr.

Ive done some math and a 52t spur with a 28t pinion would work...a 55t spur and a 30t pinion would also work. I've also worked out a few 64p combos...but I'm not sure if any would fit. Would the two above combinations fit properly?

Does anyone happen to know what type of shocks are on the TB03D and what springs will fit it? I bought some Tamiya Soft Red Springs but they require huge spacers because they leave a massive gap in the shocks. What size are they?

the short ones are more suitable if you run it for m-chassis cars.

Where do I get the normal red springs?
#1530
I run Reds on the rear of mine and they are quite long compared to M03 springs. They came in the 53440 hard on road spring set.
