I've been running tamiya blues up front, no spacer on the ifs. RSD silvers in the rear, shocks on outer most upper hole. F/R shocks on mounted on arms per manual. Camber 1.5/2.0
HPI D compound vta tires.
40/30 oil--kinda light for carpet
It's handled well, but the rear still doesn't rotate as much as I would like. I'm gonna try a 1mm shim on the under the ballstud of the rear upright in hopes of fixing that.

You've sparked my curiosity as to your setup.

How much droop are you running in the front and what do you need steering on corner entry or mid corner to corned exit? Also what sway bar in the rear are you using?

I'm starting with 2mm over ride height for droop. I don't use roll bars at all. The hpi tires don't seem to generate enough grip to necessitate roll bars. I really need the rear end to come around at mid corner and corner exit. If the 1mm spacer doesn't get me moving in the right direction, I'll just put some heavier oil in the rear.

I would run a rear bar to get the car to rotate in the corner. I run bars on both ends of my of my VTA. You might want to try .5 less droop in the front so you don't lose as much steering when you are exiting the corner.

Here's my set up sheet for VTA. I'll probably change a few things next week once I see what the traction is like at the USVTA Nationals.

Gearing and driving aggressive enough are my biggest issues.

I was able to get my TB03 into the 10th spot of the A-main this weekend at the Emerald City Classic in Seattle. It was a blast

Setup:

Front- 40wt oil, Tamiya blue spring, no spacers on IFS, stock lower shock arm mount. #4 camber hole, 2mm spacer under inner ball stud, 1.5 deg camber. Yellow roll bar. Slipper spool,

Rear- 30wt oil, RSD Silver spring, #4 upper shock mount, stock lower shock arm mount, 1mm spacer under inner ball stud, #4 camber hole, 2 deg camber, yellow roll bar, ball diff

HPI X-Pattern tires!

I decided to go with x patterns for the weight savings so that I could use a full size pack. They felt like they gave the tranny a little more snap.

I love driving this car.
