Does anyone have the 3Racing Graphite Conversion kit on a TB-03D? I don't there is much difference between the TB-03 and the TB-03D.
I am thinking about getting it as my next mod. Does it come with everything I need? I think I just have to transfer everything over shouldn't be to hard.
I just don't want any surprises. I plan on sticking on my TB-03D.

Whoa brother, you cooked that good!
You need to run the aluminum diffs if you want to have that much power

The plastic diffs can't hold the diff rings in place without twisting out and melting running that much power. The aluminum ones can handle a 4turn with 2s lipo no problem as I have run that setup in my TB03 no problem. Along with the aluminum diff upgrade I highly recommend getting ceramic diff balls as well

Hi dirtyboo,
I think you are right about the power from your motor! Yeah, you should get the alu diff joint.
Even so, with so much power, it is important to have your drivetrain very well build. Check all gear meshings (between your bevels and diffs, motor pinion to spur). Make sure the plastic shoe on the UJs are thick with enough meat. If not, the pin on the UJ will eat into your alu diff joints.
These are some of the basic items you should take care of when you are running low turn motors. The enjoyment will last much longer!

second important question, is any body using such model with 10,5T?
any suggestions, as i purchesed one for mainly use in the italian Tamiya Cup
equipped with a 12T, but them my idea is to use it with 10,5T as the most popular category here in Italy.

I really wanted to go this year. But being right after the TCS nats I couldn't afford to fly back out. I know I would be really distracted with all the Mazda's to drool over haha. I am planning on making it next year for sure...even if I have to curb my eating habits some to save the extra loot

I think Kerk has used a 10.5 in his before. I have used a 13.5 and a 4 turn in mine with no problems. You will need to get the aluminum diff, aluminum drive cups for the drive shaft, and the drive axles to support the power reliably. Other than that the car handles the power pretty well.

I ran 10.5 at the Mazda cup with no problems. My car worked very well. (I was supprised because it was in RCGT trim, Tamiya RX7 body and xpattern tires)
But as Timmie mentioned, you will need to upgrade the drivetrain.

Hi timmie and racecrafter, tnks a lot for yr replay which are much confortable, presently i'm owning a team magic e4rs, but last sunday on my first race with it
I had lot of problems and i'll not use it any more.
It means that for the italian tamiya cup i will use it with the only hop up allowed (servo saver and hex), but then i was thinking to purchase the hop up suggested in the tamiya usa tech corner to add when i'lll race 10,5T.

after cooking my diff joints, decided to 'pimp my ride'. here r the list of hop-ups that i would like to share wit u guys:-
1. aluminum diff joint set(front n rear)
2. 3mm tungsten-carbide diff ball set
3. aluminum universal propeller shaft
4. aluminum rear upright(1 degree)
5. 44mm universal swing shaft(front n rear)
6. clamp type aluminum wheel hub(4mm thick)
7. trf damper special blue
8. carbon bumper support
9. carbon battery plate set
the set-up is stock, hav not tested it yet. hope everything wil go well, here r some pics....

I am almost closer to maxing out my steering. The 42mm Swing Shafts for the TB-03D stopped the vibrating and gave me slightly more steering.
I need a longer servo horn. Mine is just to low to give me the little that I need. I am at odds at which servo horn I should get. I am not familiar with them. I need it a little taller. then I can make stuff happen. What would you guys recommend?
ALSO: Do you guys Lube/Grease the Front One Way(54057)? If so what grease/Lube do you use?
