That get you a FDR of 2.93

I think that's about as low as you can go with the TB-03.

Default TBT

Not so throwback....I built another TB-03. IMO still the best TCS chassis, and a great club chassis.

Agreed, a TB 03 won 17.5 sportsman at the last TQ summer series. Beating much more expensive chassis

After you kicked our butts so bad at TCS....I'm not sure I should share.

The tb04 gear diff pn 51549, eight 2.6mm x 6mm cap screws, whichever TB04 outdrives fit your fancy (51554 are steel), gasket 51553, and the ring gear pn 51255. You'll need to file the pinion shaft for clearance (it rubs on the gear diff case). I replaced the 8x5mm bushings with bearings to try and keep the cases in better shape longer. I shim my outdrives fairly tight so they can't walk side to side. You want the diff to be pretty firm when you get it built, and then bed the gears in when you get to the track by driving a pack through it kind of easy. Guys who set them up too loose seem to have problems breaking them; I have yet to have a TB03/04 drivetrain failure.

It is about 12grams heavier than the ball diff.

Hey guys,
I'm gonna try out the upright front shocks and I'm hoping someone can tell which hole to use on the front arm and shock tower. Thank you!

On my TB03 I have the front lower shock on the outer most mounting position, and upper at the second inner most hole.

I've got a new to me TB-03 on it's way. I plan on running our local carpet races with 17.5T motor. To maximize downtime I'd like to get the motor and 64p robinson racing pinion/spur on order.

Can anyone recommend a good starting point for the Tooth count of pinion and spur? Thanks.

Would that kind of differential be legal in TCS?

Tamiya brand parts only. I asked about the spec R diff and was told no.

I was finally able to test out the front upright suspension this weekend and wasn't really impressed. I was 1.3 seconds slower per lap. The front end felt mushy in spite of the fact that I was using blue springs. It was strange.
