What difference is there from the TB03R to the VDS drift chassis?

The TB03R is the real tb03 with like 20 hop up parts, mainly used for grip driving though I guess you can drift it you wanted to.

The VDS is quite a different chassis despite sharing the same name. It appears to be a dedicated drifter only

From what I have read so far, the 502 diff assembly is shorter then the tb evo 5, so the whole diff would fit would just have to shim it correctly, has anyone tried this mod, using the entire 502 diff, versus just the gear and ball and using all the tb evolution parts thanks

I use a 3 Racing chassis kit on my TB03 it works very well, I have no complaints about the quality or how the chassis works. My car is better handling then my TC6.1 or my Xray T3. 3 Racing chassis kit is reasonably priced but i would like to see Exotec build a chassis kit.

Vivo - On your 3Racing chassis does it seem like the motor mount has the slots milled incorrectly or they are facing the wrong way? On my motor mount the reliefs for the motor screw heads are facing the motor, not away from the motor. The result is the motor screw heads are pushed towards the pinion. It's workable, but not perfect. I do like the chassis overall.

SWB I didn't even notice that the motor screw mts were milled backwards. I use cap screws instead of button heads. It hasn't seem to be a problem so far. I really like my TB03 with the 3 racing chassis kit. I TQ for the last 2 races in our gt class. I also have a 417v5 I like the TB03 a better maybe it's only running a 21.5 motor and it is easier to drive? I'm new to racing tamiya cars but I like the corner speeds of both my Tamiya cars.

Thanks for checking your motor mount. I looked at some photos of the motor mount online after building my chassis, and couldn't believe they were all like this. I guess they are. It's not a real problem, just a detail that surprised me.

Hi I was looking to get my first touring car. Was looking at a tb03. Was wondering if with the tb04 coming out if parts for the tb03 would still be around for a good while?
