Well, no problem...

I also have another great news,
spec-r is presenting a gear-diff soon:

spec-r

...but I guess unfortunately "coming soon" means we'll have to wait till summer :-(

In meantime, I'm modding a M-pro gear diff (which is made for Top Photon) - this mod isn't that easy :-(

Default esc coming loose

hi there.
Because of that motor cooling slot thing, there isnt enough for me to tape the esc to.
Any good ideas around this. The esc keeps coming loose.

try using shoe gloo?

Or if you need more space, use a low-profile servo.

Im running a 9T ezrun. Maybee about the same if the 13T is run without the turbo function.
Tranny can cope, plastic outdrives wont.
Metal Geniune tamiya diff are WAY to soft, Ive got significant wear on the metal outdrives.
Will be trying a 13.5T soon, motor just arrived.

Cool Taking it to the drivetrain limit!

I ran a 17.5 with a Tekin with lots of boost and it does put a lot of pressure on the drivetrain but I ran the same diff all season and a spool in the front and no major problems. I used good diff grease and keeping it clean, used the aluminum outdrive with the plastic "C" clips on the universals and using diff covers and I also used a light amount Dupont Teflon spray on the splines of the drive gears with very little endplay, just enough for the drivetrain to run free. I think all this made my drivetrain smooth and last as long as it did. Now, I'm sure the 13.5 is pushing the TB-03 drivetrain to the limit but I think everything I mentioned above should help!
Just my 2$

I've raced my TB in 10.5 (as well as 13.5) and it handled it well.

The sound you get from the gearbox is wicked!

Yes definitely go with the metal out drives and the most important part make sure you shim the ring and pinion correctly. I would also recommend just a tiny bit of lube on the gear teeth as well. (17.5 I run them dry)

Awesome thanks guys.
Ive upgraded all the drive train parts already so its good to go.
What about chassis?
Has anyone tried the 3racing graphite conversion?
Ive used these on my Ta05's and they have been sweet.

Default 3racing 7075 Alu diff ??

Hi there
Has anyone tried the 3racing 7075 Alu diff shaft/outdrives ??

Ive found the Tamiya Alu diff's outdrives to be far too soft & are wondering if the 3racing ones are any harder ??

Merry Xmas(late)

Speaking of outdrives, does anyone know a part number of a c-clip (blades) that fits into the option TB-03 aluminum outdrives? I tried T.O.P blades because I didnt have the tamiya ones in stock, but they are too fat.

3Racing make some for TB03, not sure if they are for the Tamiya or the 3racing diff.
I have some 3racing ones & some xray ones I can measure up if you know the thickness of the Tamiya c-clips (in mm)
