Questions?? what ratio?

hey!, ive just ordered a lrp Brushless Combo SXX TC spec/ Vector X12 Modified 3.0T kit and plan to run this with 50C 2S 5000mah 7.4v LiPO batteries. all this is hunky dory but i was wondering what gearing setup will i need? i am building this project solely for drifting, gunna run lp32-front/lp35-rear drift tyres from hpi on a hb tcx. and also will i need to change the diffs to tougher items or will the tcx parts work fine? so puting long story short, i would like to know what pinion/spur gears and if necassary, what diffs will i need?

Hey guys, does anyone have a baseline setup for the tb-03 on carpet? Ive searched the net, I found a couple baselines for the 416, but figured maybe you gents could help me out with a more specific tb-03 setup.

We run 17.5, stock spec ESC settings (no turbo/esc timing), rubber tires. Ill be running solaris soft or medium, or sweep 32's.

Ill be running at MSI racing in roseville MI, for those of you who know the track. Its a large track with a large amount of corners. Two decent straights that end with low speed corners. Not really what you would consider a "flowing" track setup.

ok guys.. so what is the story with this car?

Why are they no longer available? Is tamiya releasing a new version or is there a production problem?

Here's what I found on the Tamiya website. The TB03R appears to be the newest.

Are TB03 compatible with the older type of suspension block e.g. from TRF415 and TA05? I know you need to add 5mm at the inner block to achieve the same height as the TB03/TRF416 style but other than that what's the difference?

Just because Tower shows it as discontinued means nothing besides they are not carrying it anymore. I was told there are more on the way. www.speedtechrc.com is a good place to put an order in though.

TB03 kits are in stock the TB03R kits are currently out of stock at Tamiya.

If you want a great deal on a kit either go through speedtechrc or www.trackstarrc.com

They are both very knowledgeable and TrackStarRC has the race experience to build and setup what ever you want.
