Well,I was going to start an ABC Genetic thread untill I found this one. The MJGTC is more race related,so I was hoping to rekindle this thread so us ABC Genetic owners can share our paint jobs,hop-ups,set-ups & general chat about this cool little car.

Are most of you running Lipo? If yes, what Lipo fits in the car? Seems like the Orion 2300 fits but I want to see if there are other options with higher Mah.

I use R1wurks 5000mAh Lipos. I am running the CF chassis so I just tape the battery.

No trimmng. I don't use the battery holder at all. I also used 90 degree banana plugs so they fit between the top deck and the battery.

Default steering slop

Good idea this thread!

Here is my question: there is quite a bit of slop in my steering now, after running hard for about a dozen packs worth; I thinkthat's why I seem to have to make a lot of steering corrections on the straights; It seems the servo saver is partly at faul, but also the steering arms. Has any one worked on changing the steering to reduce its slop?

I personally like the Novak GTX since it's small and pretty cheap now (used). It just doesn't have a lipo cutoff.

Have yours sent to me. For $50 I'll disassemble it and put it into baggies...

The steering flop is coming from the front upper arms. What I did is put some shims on it.

If you want to build one yourself, you can get all the spare and hop-up parts offered by ABC Hobby, but it will cost you more than just buying a kit. When I first got mine, I still re did some of the parts for improvement.

This is off topic, so my apologies, but just wanted to inform anyone who might be interested that the carpet track at OCRC is open and running races. It is a great Mini track and is a first class facility. It's planning on running races on Tues. nites and Saturdays. For more info, visit the OCRC thread in the Racing Forum.
