Default MY 4WD MINI

I will be giving the car its maiden run tomorrow night. I will cut the body posts down before it hits the track.

I have fitted a SP17.5 with the Team Wave RB-30 speed controller and have a rollout of 42mm. (38 pinion with a 63 spur all in 48 pitch) I am hoping to get a 40 tooth pinion to increase the rollout. The rollout was calculated for 55mm tyres, so would be higher if running Type A 60D's.

CYA

Calvin.

I ran my 510 on carpet a bit at Big Dad's in Portland, OR in May. No compound, handled pretty good. I wasn't really pushing it.

Ran it again outdoors at a demo event in front of a car dealership here in Billings in June. Pavement was pretty poor, though we blew it off and sprayed down sugar water. Again, no compound on tires, car handled very well.

I've got the car set up with a 3000mah MaxAmps 2s LiPo (BARELY fits lengthwise) and a Tamiya silver can motor. This combo SHOULD be fairly close to Vintage TA cars running any of their various specs. The Vintage TA guys running at our demo were squirreling around with 6-cell / Stock (non-spec) power so I couldn't really get a good read.

Camaro in pic below is my VTA-spec HPI Camaro.

I'm thinking of getting this for my Genetic.

Yeah Racing (#ABC-069SV) Aluminum Solid Axle (SV) For ABC Genetic. Will it be able to act as a spool for the rear of my Genetic?

It's a 1200. I've been tempted to buy one for my brother to match his real car.

I bought this: http://www.yeahracing.com/catalog/pr...oducts_id=2254

Problem is, the stock bevel gear cannot fit into the solid axle. The width of the axle is too wide. Anyone tried this before?

I'm not sure if the LHS in FL sells it but you can order it from rcmart.com in Hong Kong or genkidoridori.com in Japan.

I am brand new to this hobby and more into the crawling side of things, but when I was at the hobby store and eyed the BRE 510, I had to have it. It came without any electronics and so I'm interested in learning more about what people are running with the ABC Genetic chassis and how they like their set up.

Is anyone in the US racing this chassis?

Where would someone from the US get their hands on this product and also have the ability to get parts on a regular basis to support the car if you raced with it?
