Are local Mini crew has had good success with Spec-R mini bodies .

The three nice ones are , ADR ,M6R and LZ . The LZ requires the hood be heated and bumped up a little to clear the Shock tower.

Thank You! Do you know if those are 210mm wheelbase for Genetic? What cars are you running with R-spec bodies?

Yes ,the Spec-R bodies are 210mm wheelbase . We run these bodies on all of the 4wd mini , Cup racer, Fugin, Atomic, and Genetics.

Very Cool! Thanks, It seems there is no information anywhere on this topic. Also the sites that sell mini bodys arent that specific on what chassis they fit on nor give enough measurment info. So thanks again! josh

Hey guys, I'm new to the 1/12 scene, I got interested after seeing that ABC Hobby made a 1st gen MR2 (AW11) body. I'm disappointed to see that their 1/12 chassis seem to be hard to to find, but the body pops up on eBay for $50 fairly often.

Is there another more common chassis that this ABC Hobby MR2 body would fit onto (HPI Cup Racer, etc.)? Thanks!

I dont know about performance, but my thinking is the weight distrabution! You might have to add weight to keep the car ballanced so then whats the point? lol

Nixzero; Good luck in your search, I dont know!

indoor carpet season is aproaching, i'm getting excited to run my favorite on road car....the genetic!

anything new and exciting going on with parts, upgrades, etc...?

i'm thinking about having alloy shocktowers made, thats the weak point on my car. i run oval/tri oval and tagging a wall snaps the upper arm mounts off the tower.

to the poster above, i think both diffs are ball diffs, they are on mine anyway.
i did upgrade the outdrives and diff screws early on.

gotta get a new austin mini pickup body, mine is pretty thrashed from last season.

Wow, shock towers snap! I race at high speed outdoor tracks and have wrecked plenty of times and never broke a shock tower. My only problem was I was practicing with some nitro sedans and one hit me straight on and snapped my chassis in half! Not cool and learned a lesson. And to my above postings. The Spec R sedan body is the bomb! Only problem now is the guys that were running sedan bodys before I got mine dont want to use them anymore. Another lesson learned!

i went through 4 shock towers last season. granted it was on a small, walled in oval. most of them broke by getting pushed to the outside and tagging a wall. it's the only issue i've had. still one of my favorite rides!

Are these still in production, seems everyone is out of stock and I'd certainly like to add one to my long list of cars to drive.
