Questions?? Brushless motor heat sinks w/fan...

The Novak and LRP for example, do they work? What about running the motor w/out the center stator ring? I've seen pics of some guys running w/out them. I just want to know the real world pros and cons. Give me the 411 on the temp differences.
Thx!

I dont know about running without the center ring, but if you're looking to cool your motor, go back and look at Lemieuxs winning DUO from the Birds. He pretty much lopped off the entire end of the motor. The winds and rotor were VERY visible. Didn't even look legal to me, but apparently its just considered a "cosmetic" change.
