Tyre Offset. Front and Rear.

I've got a question for you guys out there.

Assuming I the offset on my front tyres is greater them my rear tyres, will I have,

more responsive steering / turn in

as compared to having lesser offset on my front tyres and more offset on my rear tyres?

the opposite. the further you tuck the kingpins into the front wheels, the more responsive the car becomes.

i don't play with rear offset much. most systems designed to allow for that, don't change the lower shock locations appropriately, so the offset rear hubs provide for a much higher wheel rate, which tends to overshadow the actual offset change.

the above assumes the f/r track stays the same. if by 'offset' you are actually referring to track width, then the wider end will tend to have less traction.

So what u're saying is:

less offset in the front / more offset in the rear = more steering responsiveness / more turn in

more offset in the front / less offset in the rear = less steering responsiveness / lesser turn in

Did I interprete that correctly?

LOL edited! my mistake there
