Default is this really an Audi R8

Just a thought is this really the Audi R8 ? the front grille looks like it, perhaps Protoform couldnt get the licence so called it the R9 ? doesnt really matter its a stunning body and handles a treat on tarmac with rubber tires.

Were you running the new R9-R or the R9-F?

When talking to Dale when he was designing it, he didnt try to get the liscence for the body. If he did, it would come at a higher price. Audi doesnt make an R9 which is how it got its name. It is supposed to resemble an R8

In answer to several questions firstly we have had the R9 for 3-4 weeks now in the uk and we ran it on rubber tires using an F as we dont have the R as yet fantastic body to race with not only in looks but also in handling

So I didn't see the R9-R on new products over at ProLine's site so perhaps the September date is accurate? I do have a R9-F I picked up so based on tfracing's info I might just try fitting that with my Rubber setup. Any updates on release for the rubber version would be appreciated!

why are leightweoghts more expensive,

lets material should equal less price, right?

And its not like they are machining the material to tight tolerences, they just lay down a thinner sheet

True, but we are willing to buy it no matter if it cost more or not and they know it.
