Wonder if you can help with a couple of things:

Firstly do the allo hinge pin mounts from the 414m fit onto the original 414 in place of the carbon fibre ones?

Secondly what would be a reasonable price for an original 414 still shrinkwrapped?

Hi JohnA,

To answer your first question: no, it is not possible at all. You cannot use the alloy hinge pin mounts from 414M for 414 as both chassis have totally different mounting position and techniques.

On your second question: sorry, can't help. I got no clue

If you need carbon fiber hinge pin mounts I can get you some for the 414X (same as 414's).

Why the shrinkwrapped 414 question? I want one. You have a source for one? I've seen them go for approx. $350-395$

Now I think I see why you've asked that question. There is one on eBay at over $500

414's appear more frequently on Japanese auction sites. I've witnessed them be relisted over and over due to a lack of bids, and the opening price was about 250USD.

Yep you guessed right the 414m on ebay is mine. I'm a bit dubious about the shades next to the opening bidder! Seems a bit keen, but if they come up with the cash who cares.

Aaaah!! Why didn't you ask the board first? Chances are I'd had it for less than $500 Good luck.

hey,

i was wondering, if anyone knows where i can get the lower main chassis (414M style) with the battery holes already cut out, instead of how the battery holes are in the 414M2. i want to cut it, but many ppl are weary of doing it. dont wanna mess up their chassis and all. so i was wondeirng if anyone would be willing to trade their 414M chassis for my 414M2 chassis. or even if u want to sell it to me. also, if there is anywhere online i can buy this lower main chassis, that'd be great. otherwise, i need a dremel tool... thanx. peaches.

4004019 Lower Deck

That's the 7-digit parts # for the original 414m.

(414 in pic, not 414m)

cutting the chasis is not that difficult just take your time and do it slow. i used my dremel with a cut off wheel and cut it it close and finished up with a file. good luck which ever way you go.

maybe your local hobby shop or a local racer can help you out with that. otherwise you can get a off brand rotary tool that is just like a dremel but must cheaper. going that route would also be cheaper than a new chassis plus you would have the tool for future use.
