Did the original 414 or 414m (the silver one) come with titanium turnbuckles?

Hey all,

Which Tamiya body does anyone recommend for best fit on the 414mII?
I have a carbon HKS but it doesn't fit quite right, the wheel wells don't align evenly and I ended up having to redrill holes to get it to fit only just slightly better cause the front bumper gets in the way.

What about the skyline GTRs? The "problem" I find with the 414m is the extended wheelbase doesn't fit well with bodyshells with pre-defined wheel wells. E.g. my protofoam stratus has nothing defined in the rear wheels so I can align the front properly, and then cut for the rear wheels wherever I like. For example see the problem with this bodyshell:

Yes that's my 414M, the levin is my latest race shell. Rear wing not mounted yet.

Edit: Wrong picture. This is the one showing the wheelbase makes it a bit long.

Actually you have a good point there, I would always laugh when I say the 414M2 being advertised as the Worlds Replica or something similar....

What's the best insert to use with Tamiya Type A or B tires?

MX3:
You will need:
a) An extra ball diff 53436 (OP436) TA04 Ball Differential Unit
b) Layshaft locked pulley 53474 (TA04 Aluminum Center Pulley) or the Cross pulley will work too. You will need one pair I believe, or you can use the existing plastic ones (uh no idea here, i swapped over to the metal pulley & one way immediately)

Optional:
Delrin outdrives for the ball diff.

Personally I run the metal outdrives on the front and delrin on the rear if I run my 414 in 4wd. I had broken quite a few delrin outdrives on my front whilst I ran a TA04.

try echo or pit shimizu hard shaped inserts. i used them instead of the black (hard) tamiya inserts and they worked better. the tires wear more evenly on its center, instead of wearing on the edges only.
