If cost is a concern buy an 414MII & wait for the new swar bar kit that is being released for the car # 49258 (the kit comes with top deck front sway bar, new suspension arms for those who run high roll centers)

Has anyone actually received an M2 worlds? If so, please post pics. Does it have the lightweight driveshafts?

I use full lengths and use the droop screws to limit downtravel. With the TC3 gauge I have 4mm from the kingpin in front and 6mm from the rearward outside edge of the arm in back. It's a lot of droop in back with very little in front. I find this stabilizes the car a lot and smoothes out direction changes quite a bit. There are a few people here running locked front diffs, especially in mod.

ruf - The lightweight drive/swing shafts have been available for quite some time now! They are part number 53502 (42mm/one pair.) Will fit the EvoII as well.
I've had them on my 414M for almost three months... no problems yet. As with any other car, don't use aluminum dogbones for the front because they'll bend easily.

Hehe, I've been kinda out of it for a while. Thinking about getting a 414M2 Worlds and come back to the old lady now that we've figured out the setup. Thanks for the info. I was wondering how they would hold up.

This is a long shot, but does anyone have the original 414X that they may consider selling or trading or know of a source to get one? Preferably NIB, but a car this rare is hard to find anyways so i'm not too picky.

Check the classified here. Saw one not too long ago.

I saw a tamiya 414 NIB sell for over 400 on ebay. I see a lot of M2's, but no X .

Is the TRF414 a collectible?
Just asking 'cause I am selling a TRF414 here in the Phils and nobody's buying. I'm thinking of just storing it away for now....

is it the plain 414 or the 414X?

It's the plain TRF414 (not M, M2, or X). It doesn't have all the original parts however, the hub carrier has been replaced...
one good thing the previous owner did was to promptly cover the underchassis with a sandpaper-like sheet. The upper side of the lowerdeck is still scratch-free apart from a small crack of the upper transparent layer. Add to that a box that has Miura's signature on it.
You think this will fetch a big sum in Ten years?

The 414 is the Japanese version of the car that came out after the 414X in the US. It was followed by the 414M (and M upgrade kit) and now the M2. It isn't as rare as the X but Miura's sig is probably worth something.
Here is the history of the 414.
