Thanks Alvin, I had a V12xc in mine til I thought I fried it. So I went and got a Quantum Comp with Worlds kit. Turns out that my Receiver was messed up. Not my ESC!! Sucks but oh well. At least now I have an ESC for my TC3 now. I've had my Quantum shut down with my 19t motor. But I recut the comm for the next heat and didn't have any trouble after that. Did that with my Stock motor as well. As for my V12xc, it's shut down as well. In fact it cost me a Mod Amain win!! Yup, with 30secs to go! Of course it was a hot day and I was running my 8x2 as usual. I think from now on, on very hot days I'll skim my comm before each run. Seems to cool down my motor alot after a heat race. Gear down doesn't do too much. Anyways..... anyone know where I can get some aluminum CVD's or shafts or whatever Tamiya calls them?

hi everyone
I'm a fellow tamiya"r"....i got an evo 2 and since the 414 is basically the same, i thought y'all could help.
I'm having trouble setting my car up for my local track....I tried the setup that comes with my car, but its way too loose.
I race on a short, 60X90ft ,Bumpy as heck, old ,rutted racetrack which is blown and sprayed.... do any of you have a good setup for the 414 that would work on that kind of a track?
i raced last weekend and had to run -6deg rearcamber with red springs on 40wt oil with -1deg frontcamber with white springs on 50wt oil to minimize the rear end screaching and snapping around. I use HPI 27R tires and soft inserts.(these seem to do the trick to stick) I've tried TAKEOFF 32R's but my car seems like its ice skating...even the TAMIYA type A's slide ALL over the place.
any help will be appreciated... would adding spacers to the front of the rear arm carrier help with the bumps? do i remove spacers from the front arm carrier? TOE in the rear with optional hubs? toe in the front?

Jimmy congrates on the wins. It was cool watching you (you fly). My car wasn't set up tp race it was built at 2:00am the day befor, but was really great to drive.

Killruf: Maybe you could try with the current limiter on? Or use lesser timing on the motor? I have never run winds less than a single digit so I won't know ;-) I should be attending the reedy race in indonesia this month, yes that will be the first time I get to slap on a 9x2 on my 414 ;-)

LoL... They car is really Sweet! I Love it! I know you want one John! hehe. Nah, that Yokomo is still a sweet car. But I just like they way my 414 is layed out and simple. Hey, after all, it did win Best Engineered at Virginia Beach! 
Ahhh Garry, you're the one with the other 414 there. So how did it handle? Experience any push or over steering? I did a few changes from stock setup. Tires especially helped out there. I ran the Takeoffs CS32s. I think the CS37s would have been better though for that day. Anyways, the only changes I made to stock setup was Tamiya 700wt front and 600wt rear. -1° camber front and -2° camber rear. 0.5-1° Toeout. And 4mm (2x2mm) spacer under rear camber link bulkhead. Wish I had more time to setup out there. But it was good enough.
Now I get to tune my car for my last trophy race down here. They just built a nice permanent asphalt track here. So I'm gonna have to setup for a nice smoooooth track. I'm guessing harder springs are the way to go for a smooth track. I'll just try my Blue springs all the way around and go from there. Any suggestions for a smooth fresh asphalt track? 72'x213' track. Long straight on one side with technical turns on the other. Hmmmmmmmm I'll find out on Thursday practice.....

Alvin, I had my current limit set to 70 I think for Mod on my V12. I'm also running a big Novak Cap on it as well. I dunno, we'll see how things go this weekend!

Which kit did your friend get?? that price sounded more like the 414M memorial kit. (49220)
The new 414M world replica kit is a bit more expensive then that.
(49255).
The kit has full titanium screws, turnbuckles, new front sway bar position, serial numbered motor plate. Aluminum center oneway/pully....etc.
