Hi Guys,

Some one was asking about the Ferrari Modena body earlier. The Ferrari body seems to be the body of choice for most Tamiya drivers here in the states. I personally find it to be quick on response to steering input and still offers very good rear traction. Another body that is nice would be the skyline body, which offers more rear traction than the Ferrari (although I've yet to try the skyline myself)

Note that if you add the spacers you will have the dremel the suspension block B (the block with the hole for the belt) in order to clear the belt.

Finally actually raced my 414 today! Did pretty good at a Hobbytown USA Trophy (plague) Race. Won best Engineered during the Concourse. Took home 1st in Stock Sedan A-main. And 1st in Mod B-main. I had motor trouble in mod qualifying. So that put me back. Does anyone have trouble with thermo shutdown on their Quantum Comps? Anyways, over all the car ran good. It was pretty smooth. Need alittle more work on getting some steering out of it (goin into turns). But the setup worked good enough. I'm pretty impressed with this car! Will have more testing next weekend with my last points race of the season. Here's a small pic of my car...

Thumbs up

Congratulations, Jimmy! Lovely trophy you got there!

About the quantums, I have a MC800C, which supposedly is the same ESC no problems with it, but I have it shifted to my pan car and the 414 runs a V12. I've had quite a few ppl tell me their quantums getting very hot even after using stock motors (tamiya type t) or any modifieds. Didn't have my 800C do that to me, but since I prefer the throttle response of the V12, the 800C goes onto the non-competition pan car ;-)

Thinking about getting a 414M, probably the world replica deal if it comes out...Any idea on what pricing will be and what the differences are over the 414MII?

I had a 414M earlier this year but sold it because the season was winding down and I didn't need it. I was, however very impressed with the quality, and since I am ready for a change from my yokomo I thought the tamiya would be a good idea.

Speedo: the world edition is already out in Asia.... 500bucks at www.rcmodel.com.hk !
i don't think it will become ava here... but who knows...
as far as i know.. here are the difference...
lightweight bulkheads, titanium screws and turnbuckle shaft, newly designed front stabilizer, front and rear damper stay, clump type wheel hub, and motor plate with world champion logo and serial no.
