Hello...
The WC edition 's full retail price is JPY54,800. The special shocks that Surikarn used in S. Africa will be included, but not sure about the diff rings. However, the shocks will be anodized in blue just like the M2 Ltd edition i.e. not gun metal like Surikarn's. The special new shocks is musch smoother (new coatings) and more airtight...i.e. last longer between rebuilds.
The significant changes in this WC edition would be the suspension blocks and the additional spacers.

414M racers, do you know what the "Rebound Stroke" field in the setup sheets mean? Like 2mm rebound?

Thanks!

It will not be Full Retail! It never is in Japan.
So the price I posted above is what one might get one of these for. Never FULL RETAIL!

Usagi,
Correct the "street" will never be the same as the "full" retail price, and is always lower. I posted the full retail price as many people in S.E. Asia normally refer to the full retail price in order to calculate the "expected" price from their LHS. No doubt your info must be correct and very useful.

Alvin,
Rebound=droop= the total upward movement of the chasis when you lift the chasis from rest (settled position with its full running gear) until the tires lift off the ground. In Surikarn's setting sheet, it is measured from the top wheel axle.

hi slowhand! Thanks!

So I guess for say if we change to tires of different diameter, we'd need to change the downstop yet again right?

Default 414M2 champion chassis

So, about $400 in Japan?
An eBay seller has one "buy it now" for $349 and two up for bid currently in the $240 range.

I think there is a little confusing info running around with the different models.

Yes.
As far as I know, in most tracks that I have raced, the rebound stroke for 414M would be somehere around 1mm for both front and rear. During the PreWorld in S. Africa Surikarn run 0.5mm at the front and 1mm on the rear. However, he run d same droop i.e. 1mm for both front and rear, through out the World Championship (as the track traction was completely different i.e. much more grip than the PreWorld)

Slowhand: How do you set your rebound stroke? Could you please share it please? It seems my method of setting the downstop is wrong...

Edit: just checked my car, seems like I was running 2mm rebound on the front and 3mm rear. On my "droop gauge" it was +4/+4 i guess I need to change my setting methods....

coolrcdad,

Usagi was giving us the price on the world replica kit. Not the regular M2 champion kit.
