Default Adjusting Wheelbase on a TRF414M

Hi all!
The 414M allows wheelbase adjustments right? Let's suppose I want to shorten my wheelbase by 5mm. Should I move the rear suspension arm forward, or the front suspension arm back? What are the pros and cons of each? Thanks!

~Alvin

Alvin: if you move the rear suspension arms forward, you will have more rear traction, if you move the front backward, you will have more weight on the front tires which means more steering

rccarracer: my M2 is great!

ME-student: Thanks alot! Now I got something to expect from when I tune my car ;-)

Got my 414m, used, about a month or so back, been collectin' dust But i'll be racing it for the open races, if I can get used to its handling.

Thanks!

Alvin: it works great outta box! you are going to love it...
its good that you got the 414M.. i regrad selling mine... well kinda... the M came with an extra rear toe in block which is 0.5 degree.. M2 doesn't
and the turnbuckles in the M is aluminum.. M2's are steel... and the hex is not on the center of the turnbuckle.. which means you can only shorten it to only a certain length... because the hex will block the ball cup!

i know i can buy them seperately.. but they should have included them!

ME-student: Sorry to hear about that, at least now I know why a 414M2 is cheaper than the original M....

Really odd though

now Tamiya is coming out with a world champ M2, which has all the modifications and all the titanium parts that the current world champ uses.

HUMMMmmmm... that is very very tempting!

well,...
how abt gun-metal?...
it should look really nice being black metallic...

anyway,i think tamiya is a fantastic company, they have almost something new every month...it may sometimes b jus a new body shell, but their's is so detail and well-done that it is simply a beauty to behold.not 2 mention that their body shell always have a life-span and will not be available after some time...

but still, there's not much after market parts by third party companies for it compared to TL xxx-s and TA tc3...
