I just wanted to center the motor. No problems with the steering. I'm using a gear diff from the top car. I don't know if it can handle a mod motor. An Evo4 spool. Maybe someone can help me out. I'd like to mount the 417 diffs on the car. But, what belts would be a drop in fit?

What pullies are you running?
If the old 34t, suggest getting a spec R T2? diff from EGR mart.
It could potentially drop straight in.

Did you use a Ta04 shaft for the Motor pulley assembly to move it out that far?

I have a 414 that I am updating, and want to do the same mod.

Cheers

Yes, its a ta04 shaft. You will notice that from mod to 21.5 The motors need to be shimmed slightly different to keep the motor centered.

Juan,

Great results with the 414. It has been a few years since I rubbed fenders with you at TCS's. Your car looks awesum.

I found the 414M makes a great 21.5 car (VTA) too due to it's extremely efficient use of polar moment of inertia, mass centralization and just plain ballance.

Do any of you 414 guys have any 414X front bulkheads? I am building up an X from new parts and all I need is the front bulkhead pair.

If any of you need other X or M parts, let me know. Just like WES, I have way to many new in package spare parts for the 414's.

Marty

Note to self: Take picture of all my 414's to post. DO I have eight like Wes?

416 steering rack and the pulley fit right on. I don't think this diff is all that great. But, it works fine for me. I put black AE grease in it. And left it alone for around a year now. It broke itself in after about 2 packs.

Forgot to mention if you use the diff from TOP. You will need to buy their plastic blades.

I have these bulk heads in near perfect shape. Front/rear and motor mount. Will trade only for light weight front/back and motor mount
email me at [email protected] if interested

Thinking of updating the lower deck and shock towers. Any interest in making a bulk order to get the cost down. I'd like to narrow the chassis to the width of a shorty pack. Re-vamp the shock towers to be thicker and more adjustable. Move the rear body post to the outside of the shock tower. And some extra holes for a 416 steering rack, chassis stiffener, change the design of the front graphite to accept the plastic bumper from the 416/417/ta06. Don't know if it will actually make the car faster around the track. But, it will looknbad ass. And maybe we can get proper belts made to install spec r gear diffs. I still want the chassis to accept saddle pack, standard pack, shorty packs.
Please respond with your feed back.
