I think I used an Evo 4 spool. Then modified the 414 pulley to fit.

Spool makes a large difference. Can brake harder to turn into the corner.

Also noticed playing with the front wheelbase made a big difference. But I can't remember which way gave more steering.

I don't use the old suspension anymore(chatters alot with a spool
1 1/2 degrees camber all around
5 mm ride height
6 and 5 mm droop
put the shocks in the middle hole on the shock tower in the front and all the way down in the rear.
shorten all the camber links to the longest length on the shock towers. Make the front s flat and the rears in an angle. Maybe 2mm
I don't know about gearing a 13.5

My car actually looks very similar to that persons prototype car. But, just tamya parts. By the way thats not a 414. But, bad ass though. Wouldn't mind getting one. I think the motor mount should be moved back. Will help keeping the rear end planted.

Unhappy 414

The 414 is good for bashing .. Angry bears 414 was only 3 tenths off a fast Xray each lap

Which of the newer suspentions do you use, the light weight/regular length or the light weight short?

Please post pictures and descriptions of your car. It's very inovative and the pilot is very good as well.

I have amassed a collection of these things, not entirely sure why.

And yea, I have the parts to make them all whole again.

The 414M with tires mounted has been assembled, but never ran, lol. I have ran one in the past with decent success, but never engineered a spool, always ran either a tight diff, or tried the oneways.

Maybe if I get a decent carpet track within 100 miles, I'll try them again.

Very nice looking. I have always wanted to do that to one. I noticed you spaced the motor mount out. Is that for clearance for the motor/chassis hole? Good job on the steering too. Bump steer okay?
